As per Narmada master plan, a major project on chhoti Tawa River was proposed to Provide irrigation facilities to high level laying area near Head regulator of Indira Sagar Project. Punasa lift irrigation project is a better alternative of proposed project. Water to irrigate 35000 Ha is being lifted at Head Regulator of Indira Sagar Project by constructing a Jeck-Well near control structure. The work has been completed by 98% and irrigation potential of 28190 Ha has been created. During 2012-13, 17100 Ha has been irrigated. Up to 1/2012
