Omkareshwar Dam is situated in district Khandwa near religious worship place Omkareshwar. The main Dam and River bed Power House of 520 MW has been completed. Canal Bed Power House of 3.5 MW is also proposed. On the Left Bank of Dam, 12.39 KM long common carrier canal is completed. On the right hand side of this canal, a 162.95 KM long right bank canal construction work is in progress. On the left hand side of common water carrier 64.11 KM long left bank canal is also under construction. From Right Bank Canal, 125 KM long, lift Canal is also under construction. Complete Canal System of the Project shall create irrigate potential of 1,46,800 Ha of Khargone, Dhar & Khandwa district. Irrigation potential of 52950 Ha has been created by Dec/2012. 2155 Ha land has been irrigated up to 1/2012.
