Vigyan Mela

M.P.Council of Science & Technology has started the scheme of Vigyan Melas in order to create scientific awareness and science popularisation amongst the rural, tribal and urban people of the state. This scheme is a special scheme under Science Popularization as per the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of M.P. The Vigyan Melas provides platform to Researchers, Scientists, students of the state.

Objectives

• To popularize science in general people.
• Demonstration and skill development of traditional techniques.
• Demonstration of research for new innovators.

Activities

So far, Vegyan Mela has beeb organised successfully twice at Bhopal, Rewa, Jabalpur, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain and once in Sigrauli, Jhabua and Sagar. Under these Melas following activities has been carried out:

• Demonstration of research and development activities
• Face to Face with senior and eminent scientists of the country
• Patent Awareness Programme
• Demonstration of traditional techniques
• Workshops for skill development
• Kisan sammelans
